Tigers Conclude Play at DICK'S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup

Mizzou Golf wrapped up tournament play at the DICK'S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup Saturday, finishing in 12th in Kingston Springs, Tenn. All-American Ryan Zech led the Tigers with a tie for 18th after posting a score of 5-over-par 218.

Georgia Tech (-4) won the team title, while Vanderbilt (-3) and Virginia (+1) rounded out the top three. The DICK'S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup is a conference battle between two of college's golf's top conferences, the SEC and ACC. The event continues Sunday with match play between the conferences. The Golf Club of Tennessee is hosting the event for the second year.

Zech's tie for 18th is the 20th top-20 finish of his Mizzou career. He also opened his senior season with a win at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate.

Wilson Sundvold tied for 37th with a score of 10-over-par 223. Sundvold's best round was the second when he shot a 1-over-par 72.

Euan Walker carded a 12-over-par 225 to tie for 42nd. Luigi Botta concluded play tied for 51st with a 15-over-par 228. Jacob Fair improved each round of the event and posted a 23-over-par 236 to take 59th.

The Tigers will look to help the SEC win the Challenge title for the second time in as many years during match play Sunday. Next on the tournament schedule for Missouri is the Patriot All-America Collegiate in Lorton, Va., Sept. 28-29.
