MUTigers.com will sit down with Mizzou gymnastics' incoming freshman this summer. This week we get to know Becca Schugel.

High School: Eagan
What made you choose Missouri?
Becca: "I chose Missouri because the campus is beautiful, academics are good and the gym is awesome. The coaches are amazing and this is a team that you can just fit in with."
You've been on campus for a while now. How is college so far?
Becca: College is crazy at first. But it keeps us on track since the schedule is very set so we always know what we're doing. It will be weird to go home because it feels like family here now."
What is your favorite thing about college life so far?
Becca: "I like the change in environment; it's completely different than Minnesota. And meeting new people."
How did you get started with gymnastics?
Becca: "My mom was a Junior Olympian and my aunt owns a gym. So I started at the age of two, just following in their footsteps."
What is your favorite event?
Becca: "Bars."
What are your personal goals for the season?
Becca: "I'd like to add depth to the team wherever I can, compete as many events as I can and challenge the team to get better."
What is your favorite gymnastics memory to this point?
Becca: "My best memory is probably state this year because we came back from falls on bars. We needed a third score and normally I'm not the one up last on beam but I was and I hit for my team."
What do you like to do outside the gym?
Becca: "I like to go to cabins, meet people, watch movies, shop. Typical girl things."
If you didn't do gymnastics, what sport would you play?
Becca: "Hockey. But my mom never let me play so I just played for fun with my cousins."
What is something most people don't know about you?
Becca: "I'm obsessed with Lululemon."
