THE LAST WEEK OF MIZZOU SOFTBALL
• Mizzou scored its latest victory over a ranked squad with its 7-0 win at No. 13 Texas A&M on Friday, March 7. The Tigers yielded the remaining games of the series to the Aggies on Saturday, March 8, and Sunday, March 9. Head coach Ehren Earleywine's squad has hung tough against the nation's best so far in 2014, with four of Mizzou's five setbacks this season coming by one run against a ranked opponent.

• Freshman P Tori Finucane earned her second shutout win vs. a ranked squad in the 7-0 win at No. 13 Texas A&M (March 7), striking out seven batters and allowing just three hits. Finucane's first such win came in the 2-0 defeat of No. 14 Arizona (Feb. 20) in Cathedral City, Calif. The Tiger struck out a season-best eight batters in that effort.

• A new Tiger has to start somewhere, and that's what freshman C Kirsten Mack and redshirt sophomore SS Sami Fagan did at No. 13 Texas A&M, both hitting their first home runs for the Black & Gold. Mack homered on March 8, with Fagan hitting her long ball on March 9. .

• Senior OF Mackenzie Sykes smacked her team-leading fourth home run of the season in the 7-0 win at No. 13 Texas A&M (March 7). Through 18 games, she stands a great chance to top her career-best season total of seven home runs from last season.

• Redshirt sophomore OF Taylor Gadbois continued her hot hitting in College Station, with the Tiger currently on a 14-game hitting streak. Gadbois has recorded eight multi-hit games during the streak. She additionally stole her 16th base of the season against the Aggies, with her total already besting sophomore Emily Crane's team-leading 13 from last season.
