Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Challenge Play Suspended

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The second round of the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship has been suspended due to weather. Mizzou Women's Golf and the rest of the tournament field will resume play tomorrow with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT, however the tournament champion will be determined after tomorrow's round as the tournament will be shortened to 36-holes.
Held at the 5,897-yard, par 71 course at Cherokee Country Club, the Tigers will continue with the final round tomorrow with Michelle Butler teeing off first for Mizzou. She will begin at 7:35 a.m. CT, and the rest of the team will follow. Live scoring for the tournament can be found on the Golfstat website, www.golfstat.com.
South Carolina currently leads the tournament with a score 5-under par, followed by No. 8 Arkansas in second at 2-under par. Louisville rounds out the top three teams, and the Tigers sit just five strokes out of the top 10 teams. Mizzou finished the first round 15-over par, led by junior Alina Rogers and freshman Jessica Meek who shot 1-over par and 2-over par, respectively.
