
Mizzou Moves into Top Ten at Rebel Intercollegiate

Oxford, Miss. - After completing day two at the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate, Mizzou Women's Golf has moved into tenth place overall after firing a second round score just 5-over par. The Tigers moved up five spots on Saturday (April 6) to sit 27 strokes over par overall. No. 49 Coastal Carolina is leading the tournament as the team is currently 3-under par. No. 20 Tulane and No. 24 Baylor round out the top three with scores 3-over par and 6-over par, respectively.
Sophomore Alina Rogers continues to play well in the tournament as she maintained her place in the top 15 with a 2-over-par finish on the day. Rogers recorded two birdies on the day, helping to keep her score down. She is tied for 13th overall in the tournament. Laura Kraft had a strong day on the course as well, finishing just 1-over par. Kraft moved up individually this round as she is now tied for 36th overall with a total score just 7-over par.
After a first round score 11-over par, freshman Katherine Hepler fired a 3-under par second round score to move up individually as well. Hepler's second round score of 69 marks the second-lowest score of the round and also marks a season low for Hepler. Only Coastal Carolina's Jessica Alexander topped it with a second round score of 67.
Redshirt Freshman Michelle Butler finished the day in a tie for 73rd overall after she shot 5-over par on the day. Butler is currently 14-over par in the tournament. Taylor Gohn is just one stroke behind Butler after going 79-80--159 through two rounds to finish 15-over par. She is tied for 76th overall.
The tournament will conclude with the third round tomorrow, April 7.
