
Tigers Take Fifth at Mountain View

Tucson, Ariz. -Mizzou Women's Golf placed fifth at the Mountain View Collegiate Invitational on Sunday. The Tigers came out on fire for the third round of play and earned three top-25 finishes individually. Missouri placed fifth as a team, closing the tournament 12-over par after firing a 290 in the third round (287-299-290--876). Texas Tech took the tournament title finishing 6-under par and San Jose State shot 5-under par to take second. Texas State placed third with a team total 7-over par.
Michelle Butler led the Tigers with a third round score of 71, 1-under par. She tied for sixth place overall as she finished the tournament just one stroke behind teammate Taylor Gohn. Gohn led Missouri through the tournament and took fifth place overall. She finished at even par in the third round and shot 72-71-72--215 for a final tally 1-under par.
Alina Rogers also placed in the top 25 as she tied for 23rd overall. She fired a 72 in the third round to sit just five strokes over par after three rounds.
Freshman Kat Hepler shot 71-79-75--225 through three rounds to place 42nd overall, and Laura Kraft tied for 69th overall after a third round score of 79 put her 22-over par overall.
