COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Wrestling kicks off the 2013-14 season with a home exhibition meet featuring former Tiger All-Americans and current Missouri starters.
Last season, five Tiger grapplers had All-American campaigns at the 2013 NCAA Championships. Two of those All-Americans were Mike Larson and Dom Bradley. Larson is now the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach for the program and will be returning to the mat to face junior heavyweight Devin Mellon. Bradley continues to be involved with the program. He was a two-time All-American at Mizzou and is one of the most decorated wrestlers in program history.
Also returning is former captain Nathan McCormick. McCormick tied for the team-led in overall victories and finished his senior year with a 34-7 record. He'll take on senior Eric Wilson on Saturday.
The Missouri Wrestling Black & Gold Meet takes place this Saturday, October 26, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hearnes Center. The meet will be part of the University of Missouri's Homecoming festivities happening throughout the day. Admission is free, and the first 500 in attendance will receive a limited edition Mizzou Wrestling poster featuring past Tiger grapplers. Prior to the exhibition, fans will witness last year's MAC Champions receive their 2013 Championship rings. Here is a full list of the former and current Tiger wrestlers taking to the mat this weekend.
