COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou baseball team has its players spread across the country playing in summer ball right now and several guys are putting up very impressive numbers. Below is an update on how the Tigers are performing this summer.
Peter Fairbanks - Sedalia Bombers - MINK
>Peter Fairbanks has impressed in Sedalia so far this summer, starting five games while compiling a 3.30 ERA in 35.1 innings pitched. He has 26 strikeouts to eight walks. In his most recent start on July 8, Fairbanks threw eight innings and struck out eight, while only giving up two runs.
Griffin Goodrich - Gastonia - Coastal Plain League
After a solid freshman campaign, Griff Goodrich owns a 4.78 ERA in 26.1 innings. He has started five games and has collected 19 strikeouts. In his most recent start, Griff struck out three batters in 4.1 innings.
Brett Graves - Newport - NECBL
>Brett Graves continues to see success after a stellar sophomore campaign as a weekend starter. In four starts, Graves owns a 0.80 ERA and has collected 21 strikeouts in 23.1 innings pitched. In his most recent start, Graves struck out four batters in seven innings, while giving up only one run.
Andrew Hohn - Brazos Valley - TCL
After a couple of rough appearances,>Andrew Hohn has been lights out. On the season, Hohn has a 3.00 ERA in 10 games out of the pen. Hohn also has ten strikeouts in 9.0 innings pitched.
Tyler House - Omaha - MINK
>Tyler House has shown dominant stuff so far this summer. In five appearances (four of which were starts), House has a 3.30 ERA to go along with 34 strikeouts and only six walks in 22.0 innings. In his most recent start, House struck out eight in 7.0 innings pitched, while only shutting out the offense and only allowing five hits.
Jake Ivory - Quincy - Prospect League
Overcoming early struggles this summer,>Jake Ivory has raised his batting average to .260. Ivory has driven in 16 runs and 31 games and has four doubles on the season. He's also stolen five bases and scored 11 runs.
Jace James - Santa Barbara
James has appeared eight games, pitching 13.0 innings. During those appearances, Jace has posted a 4.50 ERA while collecting 16 strikeouts compared to just two walks.
Kendall Keeton - Forest City - Coastal Plain League
>Kendall Keeton has played in 19 games while starting 17 of them. So far this summer, he has a .305 batting average. Keeton has seven RBIs and has scored eight runs. He also has six stolen bases in seven attempts.
Dylan Kelly - Columbia, SC - Coastal Plain League
Congratulations to>Dylan Kelly for being named a Coastal Plain League All-Star! So far on the season, DK is hitting .288 and has played in 15 games while starting 13. Dylan also has shown off his wheels and has a 100% stolen base success rate (one stolen base in one attempt).
Josh Lester - Rebels - Metro League
The All-SEC Freshman Team member that played all four infield spots continues to play well this summer. Lester is batting .290 in 13 games and has 10 RBIs on the summer. He also has two doubles and a triple.
John Miles - Vermont - NECBL
>John Miles has been spectacular so far this summer. In four games (two started), Miles has a 0.00 ERA and 14 strikeouts, along with a save, in 18 innings. John has only allowed four hits and three walks and is 2-0 on the summer.
Nick Moore - Metro League
After starting the summer hitting .380 in 11 games in the Metro League,>Nick Moore is now playing in Joplin. So far, the switch hasn't hurt, as Moore is hitting .380 in seven games. He has a double, a triple, a stolen base and has driven in two runs and scored five times.
Jeff Oracion - Acadiana - TCL
>Jeff Oracion has struggled so far this summer, posting an 11.00 ERA in six games. Despite the high ERA, Oracion has five strikeouts and only one walk in five innings.
Ryan Phillips - Forest City - Coastal Plain League
>Ryan Phillips is playing with fellow Tigers>Kendall Keeton and Breckin Williams this summer. So far, Philly has posted a 4.08 ERA in six appearances, including four starts and has thrown a complete game. He has 13 strikeouts to six walks in 28.2 innings pitched.
Austin Tribby - Quincy - Prospect League
>Austin Tribby continues to mow down hitters this summer. He has a 0.00 ERA in 14 appearances out of the bullpen. In 17.1 innings, Tribby has struck out 26 batters compared to nine walks, and has only allowed eight hits.
Sean Ullrich - San Luis Obispo
Playing out west in California,>Sean Ullrich has appeared in 22 games this summer. Ullrich has a .712 OPS despite only hitting .219 on the summer. His 14 hits include five that went for extra bases (a double, triple, and three home runs). He also has six stolen bases in seven attempts.
Breckin Williams - Forest City - Coastal Plain League
Breckin Williams completes the Tiger trio in Forrest City this summer. So far, he has struggled with his command, giving up 10 walks and 11 hits, posting a 4.26 ERA. Williams has thrown 12.2 innings in 10 appearances and has 13 strikeouts.
