Opening statement...
"Well, it's certainly not easy right now, the growing pains are not fun and they're not easy, but we continue to see a lot of growth in out players and how we handle adversity today is a lot different then what we showed just a few days ago at Kansas State. I think BrAnna Brock just went to work for us, and that's how she responded after Kansas State. I think our best two practices, when she was dog tired, was our last two days of just playing a lot more physical, a lot more aggressive, and I thought it showed today. It's not going to be perfect but it showed a lot of things. Our Achilles heal continues to be turnovers and the points teams are scoring on our turnovers, tonight they had seventeen, and it's just an area where we got to continue to stress to our players, we've got to keep breaking down film and get better at it. I think in this league, knowing how tough it is, we've got to be able to get some wins. We did a lot of good things and one of those things is our ability to take care of the ball."
On Aishah Sutherland and Carolyn Davis...
"Well they've got a nice team and they're playing with a lot of confidence. Bonnie's been there for a while now and they're more experienced players, they know what it takes to be successful in the Big 12 and they're two nice, nice, players and athletes and they have a nice touch and make it look effortless at times. If it's not there in transition, which I thought was the best part which I think we limited in the first half, and in the second half they got free a couple times, but in transition they just settled in and took advantage when they could and went with the flow of the offense. They just did such a nice job of getting in position in the lane that makes it awfully tough defensively. You know, they have a great program there, and there are some kids who we were really concerned with on the perimeter. But gosh, you've got to give those two credit, they're great players and really executed well today."
On loss to KU at home...
"I certainly respect the rivalry that we've had with Kansas and Missouri and it's been long-standing obviously. Really, right now, losing is not fun, I don't care who it's to, you know we're in the trenches, we've got a lot of growing pains, so I don't know if right now our focus is so much on KU as it is on our program and getting it into a position where we can compete at the highest level and so I think for other sports they'd tell you a little differently, but for women's basketball we want to win and we don't look at KU any differently then we look at anyone else."

Mizzou Player Quotes
On how she has seen her game progress since being inserted into starting lineup...
"I am just more comfortable taking it to the basket and with my shot. It also helps when my teammates tell me to keep shooting the ball, to attack the rim, and that is just giving me more confidence."
On importance of producing in the offense...
"I would say it is important because if I am not producing then they will just double Christine and Bre, so therefore I need to do something to distract that so when I do drive I can have the lane, I can kick it out to a shooter so they can produce."
On career-high performance for points...
"Coach P and the rest of the coaching staff just forced me to get big and be stronger than I have ever been. My teammates get it in to me to and I can't do it without them. I just do what I have to do."
On what Kansas' defense was doing to limit her to only 7 field goal attempts...
"There are a good defensive team, and they played hard on all of us. I just think on my half we need to work harder to get open."

Kansas Head Coach Bonnie Henrickson
On this year's contest versus last year... "I thought the difference for us is how we start the game, which we did here last year - out of the gate we were good - but it's how we finished the first half. Last year they made a run on us and got into us, and we made a run on them in the last four minutes, outscored them by nine, and then came out with pretty good pop in the start of the second half. Just trying to embrace, the best thing for our offense is our defense."
On holding back MU's Christine Flores...>
On Aishah Sutherland's performance...
"My mantra with Aishah has been to rip and drive more, and she got into one, she hit a tough two on a spin move and I thought she played with some toughness. From an effort standpoint, her numbers for senior year are off the charts. I'm Just really, really excited for her and how much better that makes us."

Kansas Player Quotes
Forward Aishah Sutherland
On her outside shooting...
"I've always been working on my outside shooting, and since they doubled down on Carolyn, it gave me opportunities to hit those shots."
Forward Carolyn Davis
On the Jayhawks' defensive strategy... "We wanted to pressure them and speed them up. We lagged with that at first, but we picked it up during the last four minutes of the first half."
On her low-post play
"We knew that a lot of their game went through the post, so we knew we would have to use our speed to work around them."
On Sutherland's play...
"It gave me confidence to know that she could hit shots in case I was double-teamed. That opens up the floor for me inside since their players have to guard her."
Guard Monica Engelman
On the adjustments the Jayhawks made to gain control of the game...
"(Coach) Bonnie (Henrickson) was telling us we needed to play tighter defense, so that's how we started to make a run. We started getting stops, and that generated our offense."
On how she has improved throughout the season...
"I've worked hard in practice. Making passes and hitting shots gives me confidence when I'm in the game."
