Missouri Tigers (51-8)
- Missouri improved to 51-8 on the season, tying the school record for wins in a single season. Missouri won 51 games in 2010 and 50 in 2009. Over the last three seasons Missouri has 152 victories.
- Missouri improved to 13-1 in postseason home contests since 2008. The Tigers are 5-1 at home in postseason play in 2011.
- A facility record 2,595 fans witnessed today's 4-0 Mizzou victory over Washington.
- Missouri earned its second consecutive shutout win with Chelsea Thomas improving to 30-6. The 30 wins are third in single-season history at Mizzou, just two behind the school record of 32 held by Theresa Wilson in 1981. Thomas also joins Barb Wright (31 wins in 1997) as the only other Tiger to win 30 games in one season.
- Chelsea Thomas struck out 13 batters, while allowing two walks. This postseason she has an incredible 32 Ks and just three walks.
- Missouri now has a run of 14 consecutive scoreless innings. Thomas has recorded each out during that run.
- Missouri is 22-7 vs. teams in the Top 50 of the RPI.
- Thomas has allowed just seven hits over her last 24.0 innings of work, including just two hits tonight vs. Washington.
- Missouri is 14-2 over their last 16 games and 24-3 over their last 27.
- Missouri has hit eight home runs in postseason play and its 66 blasts for the year is second in school history.
- Rhea Taylor added yet another stolen base and is a perfect 8-of-8 in stolen bases this postseason. As a team Missouri is a perfect 18-of-18 on the base paths.
- Mizzou has also successfully stolen 40 of its last 41 attempts.
- Missouri is 41-3 this season when holding opponents to two runs or less.
- Ashley Fleming drove in two more runs with a pair of RBI groundouts. She has 62 RBIs this year, which is second in school history. She is two RBI off the school record pace of 64 set by Mary Babb in 1995.
- Nicole Hudson had two hits to pace the Tiger offense. She doubled to center, her 13th two-bagger of the year, and hit her 13th home run of the year as well. She is second on the club in home runs and third in doubles.
Washington Huskies (37-15)
- Washington is making its sixth trip to the NCAA Super Regional in the last seven years.
- The Huskies' streak of back-to-back Women's College World Series appearances is now in jeopardy following tonight's 4-0 loss.
- Today's loss was the first postseason defeat for Washington this year. The Huskies are now 3-1 in regional and super regional action.
- Washington fell to 0-4 vs. the Top 5 this season.
- The Huskies are now 1-3 vs. the Big 12 Conference. UW defeated Texas A&M 11-4, but fell to Texas 12-0 (in five innings) and Oklahoma 7-6 (in eight innings).
- Kimi Pohlman was the lone Huskie to record a hit, going 2-for-3 with a double and a single. The rest of her team was 0-for-21
- Kaitlin Ingelsby was solid despite taking the loss. The freshman struck out seven and walked just three, while allowing five hits.
