Opening Statement...
"I thought the players off the bench, Bailey Gee and Bree Fowler, really played well tonight and hopefully that gives them a little bit of confidence going into the Big 12. This has somewhat been the calm before the storm. We have been challenged with a lot of different styles of play, but certainly not as tough as what we are going to face. I told them after the game that there is not another game on our schedule that we can show up and play 20 minutes and expect to come out ahead. There were a lot of inconsistencies. 10-1 after the non-conference schedule with a young and inexperienced team, I am proud of them but not satisfied. We still have a lot of work to do."
On halftime...
"That was a brutal half. I felt like our girls, yesterday at practice, we were real sharp and shoot around was real good and I thought we were locked in and we were just going to pounce on them. For one reason or another we did not have the focus that we needed in that first twenty minutes. I was proud of the way they responded after halftime, I really was and I give credit to those young ladies. Our seniors have been great. You don't have to say a lot to them, which is a pretty cool thing. In such a short period of time, to have the buy in from these players, and their understanding of our expectations and the way we need to go about doing what we do and the way they represent what is on the front of their chest. So, the words were pretty few and they responded very well, and give them the credit."
On lack of discipline...
"I just think we lacked discipline from every standpoint, offensively, defensively, assignment correct, how we are guarding certain players. It looked like we didn't even have game notes or scouting reports to look at, we just laced them up and went out and played. We are not good enough to lace them up and step between the lines. Again, I felt like we were ready to go for this team and in the second half they came in more dialed in."
On the largest crowd yet...
"That was great. I appreciate everyone coming out on a Friday night against a non-conference opponent. I was very appreciative and pleased with the crowd we had. It was tremendous and certainly look forward to building on that. I ask that the fans to keep spreading the word and bring a friend. We have some tough games ahead at home in the Big 12 conference."

On Coach Pingeton's halftime talk...
"We did not come out playing disciplined at all and, she puts a huge emphasis on that every day. We were prepared and our coaches did everything they could to prepare us for this game. We did not come out playing hard enough, talking and doing anything that was over the scout. We just blew it all off. So yes, she was really disappointed about the first half, but we did come back and pick it up in the second half."
On settling for three-point field goals in the first half...
"We just weren't playing the way Coach Pingeton wanted us to play, and we were just hanging out at the three point line a lot instead of cutting and screening for each other away from the ball."

On the mindset going into the second half...
"The first half we were making too many of our own mistakes and it was stuff we could control. Coming out of the locker room, we just realized that we can't go out there and lower our level of play. We have to go out there and do what we have to do."
On going into Big 12 play...
"I think we are going to think about it now, because that is a really big game. It is possible. Everybody in the Big 12 is a good team and we have to think about it now. It is later, but it is now at the same time. We know it is going to be a tough one; we are going to go out there and do what we have to do. So, we are going to think about it now, and up until that game, because if we don't we aren't going to be prepared. Our coaching staff does the best they can to get us prepared and that is up to us."
