COLUMBIA, MO. - The Missouri Gymnastics team will begin the 2012 season receiving votes as No. 26 in the nation as released by GymInfo in the 2012 Women's Preseason Coaches Poll. Missouri joins 12 of its 14 competitors this season on the list.

The Tigers have a tough schedule in 2012 as they face the top teams in the nation. Mizzou will begin the season against No. 24 Iowa State before hosting No. 20 Denver. Missouri and Denver have two meets during the season, as Mizzou will travel to Colorado in March as well. The Tigers will also see No. 6 Nebraska before heading to Chicago for an invitational meet against No. 1 UCLA and No. 15 Illinois.

The Tigers face heavier competitors as the season continues, hosting No. 4 Oklahoma in February followed by a road trip to No. 2 Alabama. Missouri closes out the season with a home meet against No. 11 Arkansas.

In addition, MU will face several opponents who are receiving votes in this year's poll including North Carolina State, Southern Utah, West Virginia and Western Michigan.
