Emilio Cuartero fired a 7-under-par 65 in the second round of play to lead the Mizzou Men's Golf team to a 19-shot advantage after 36 holes at the 2011 Washington State Snowman Getaway.

 

The 2011 Snowman Getaway is being hosted at the par-72, 7,128-yard Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz.

 

Missouri had all four scorers inside the top seven after two rounds, highlighted by Cuartero's second-round performance. The freshman shot a 1-under-par 71 in the opening stanza and trailed teammate Will Harrold by six shots. Harrold carded an identical 65 in his opening round before shooting 77 in the second round to stand in third place overall.

 

Harrold is tied in third with yet another Tiger, Nick Wilson, and the duo is just three shots behind second place Andrew Robb of British Columbia.

 

Stuart Ballingall was the fourth Tiger scorer shooting 72-71—143 and he is just one shot out of the top three as well.

 

Missouri owns a 19-shot lead over British Columbia and Idaho heading into Tuesday's final round as the club looks for a momentum-building victory to open play this spring.
