
Potter Finishes 26th at NCAA Regional

Senior Julia Potter concluded her career at Mizzou on Saturday as one of the most successful golfers in the program's history. Potter carded an 80 in the final round of the NCAA Central Regional in Columbus, Ind., finishing with a 54-hole score of 234, which put her in a tie for 26th place.
Potter started her third round on the back nine and carded a 41, before shooting a 39 on the front nine.
She finished the 2009-10 season with a stroke average of 74.27, which is the second-best season stroke average in Missouri history. The school record is a 73.97 mark set by Potter last season. She finished her career with a four-year stroke average of 74.57.
Potter had 21 career top-10 finishes and five times earned medalist honors in her four years at MU. She was a three-time All-Big 12 honoree and participated in four NCAA Regionals. Her best showing in a Regional came in 2008, when she finished 10th.
USC, Arizona State, Purdue, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Oregon and Kent State were the top eight finishers in the Central Regional and advance to the NCAA Championship. Georgia's Marta Silva Zamora and Denver's Kimberly Kim qualified as individuals for the NCAA Championship.
