Tigers Conclude Day Two of Mizzou Invite

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri men's swimming and diving team retained its lead in day two action of the Mizzou Invitational. The Tigers have 987 points for first place, followed by Drury (759), Missouri S&T (375) and Truman State (231).

The Tigers got the meet off on a good note with the men's 200 medley relay squad of Roko Simunic, Mark Conroy, Anders Melin and Jordan Hawley earning a first-place win, with a time of 1:27.01.

Yaniv Shnaider placed first overall in the men's 400 IM with a time of 3:53.41, and Jowan Qupty finished third with a time of 3:58.11.

The men also followed suit in the 100 breast. Conroy captured first place in 54.61, followed by Jowan Qupty with a time of 56.31 for second and Joe Hladik in third with a time of 55.60.

In the men's 100 back, Simunic captured first place for the Tigers with a time of 47.78. Additionally, Melin came in second in 49.25 and John Higgins followed for third with a time of 49.41.

In diving action, the Tigers swept the top three spots in the men's 3 meter competition. David Bonuchi took first with 391.55 points, followed by Dante Jones in second with 388.80 and Dallas Becerra in third with 322.10 points.
