Tigers Take Third in Memphis

Mizzou concluded its 2010 fall schedule with a 297 in the final round of the Memphis Intercollegiate to finish the tournament with a three-round score of 892, placing it third. The Tigers finished behind South Alabama (878) and Akron (885).

Individually, sophomore Jace Long led MU as he claimed second place with at 54-hole score of 214. Long turned in his second-straight sub-70 round on Tuesday with a third-round 69, which followed Monday afternoon's round of 68.

Long's 214 trailed only Jack Hiluta of South Alabama, who took medalist honors with a 209.

Joining Long in the top five was sophomore Stuart Ballingall, who tied for fourth place with a three-round total of 219. Ballingall shot a 73 in the final round.

Freshman Hunter Kraus tied for 43rd spot with a final total of 229, while senior William Harrold tied for 58th with a 234 score and junior Chris Johnson tied for 75th place at 243.

The Tigers will next be in action when they open up the spring schedule at the Snowman Getaway in Chandler, Ariz. on Feb. 21-22.
