Tigers in Sixth at Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic

Mizzou stands in sixth place after two rounds of play at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic in South Bend, Ind. The Tigers shot an opening round 293 before turning in a 296 in the second round for a two-round total of 589. Missouri is five shots behind fifth-place Houston.

The 36-hole co-leaders are Iowa and host school Notre Dame, both of which have a two-round total of 567.

Individually, Jace Long leads the Tigers with a 140 total after two rounds. Long opened with a first-round 68, which tied for the low round of the first day of play. He stands in a tie for third place with San Francisco's Ji Hwan Park and Notre Dame's Max Scodro. They are one shot behind co-leaders Tom Usher of Notre Dame and Taylor Travis of San Francisco.

MU sophomore Stuart Ballingall is tied for 12th place with a 143 total with rounds of 72 and 71. Junior Nick Wilson has a two-round score of 150, placing him in a tie for 39th spot, while senior William Harrold is tied for 70th with a 157 total and freshman Hunter Krause's 158 score place him in 72nd place.

The final round will be played on Tuesday morning.
