Softball to Host Free Pitching Clinic

Sept. 16, 2010

Camp Flyer | Medical Release Form

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri softball team will hold a free pitching clinic on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Dan Devine Pavilion.  Head Pitching Consultant Doug Gillis and the 2010-11 Tiger squad will host the clinic before Mizzou plays a doubleheader, beginning at Noon at University Field.

The Devine Pavilion is located off of Providence Blvd., just west of Memorial Stadium.  Those attending the clinic are encouraged to park across the street at the football stadium and walk across the pedestrian "M" bridge to get to the pavilion.

The free clinic will include pitching drills and video demonstration, along with a Q&A session with Gillis.  There will be a full demonstration of all drills, along with a player participation session.  Instructional pitching DVDs will be available for sale as well.

All pitchers are asked to provide their own catcher, while youth catchers are asked to bring their own gear.  Younger pitchers using a youth ball should bring that to their session.  There are no reservations required and players are recommended to bring a filled out medical release to avoid waiting in line at the door.  For questions, e-mail Assistant Coach Melissa Tucci at tuccim@missouri.edu.
