The University of Missouri men's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate after firing a final round 299 on Sunday in Zionsville, Ind. The Tigers finished with a three-round total of 888 after carding rounds of 297 and 292 in Saturday's opening day of play.
Mizzou finished six shots out of a tie for fifth place. Illinois claimed the title with a three-round total of 859.
Individually, sophomore Stuart Ballingall tied for sixth place with a 54-hole score of 217. Ballingall turned in the best score of the day for the Tigers with a round of 73 on Sunday. That came after he shot a 69 in Saturday's second round of play.
Senior William Harrold tied for 28th spot with a 224 total, followed by sophomore Jace Long, who tied for 32nd with a 225 total. Sophomore Brad Moody tied for 47th place with a 228 a total and freshman Emilio Cuartero finished with a 229 score to tie for 54th place in his first collegiate event.
Conner Arendell of Central Florida claimed medalist honors in the individual standings with a 208 score, four shots ahead of Ball State's Eric Steger.
Next up for Missouri is the Husky Intercollegiate Sept. 20-21 in Seattle, Wash.
