Missouri golfer Jace Long had his run at the 2010 Missouri State Amateur Championship come to an end after dropping his quarterfinal match to Matt Miller of Springfield, 2-up.
Long won the first hole, but dropped the second to take the match back to even. Miller was 3-up after eight holes, but Long won the ninth hole to cut the lead to two.
Miller then won the 10th and 11th to go 4-up before Long took hole 12. Long then won the 14th and 15th holes to stand just 1-down after 15 holes. That's where it stood until the 18th, where Miller made par and Long took a bogey to drop the hole and match.
