Tigers Wrap Up Season With Another School Record

COLUMBUS, Ohio. - The Missouri men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2009-10 season on Sunday at the NCAA Championships with another broken school record by Jan Konarzewski and tenth place finish for senior Greg DeStephen.

The Tigers finish 27th overall with 24 points, with Texas winning the team title followed by Cal and Arizona in second and third.

Already the school record holder in the 200 back, Konarzewski shaved .29 seconds off his school-record time by finishing in 1:42.60 for a 17th place finish Sunday afternoon. He finished .05 seconds off of making the consolation finals later that night.

DeStephen ends his career with a tenth place finish on the platform, earning 373.80 points in the "B" final group. As a Tiger, DeStephen departs the program holding the school record in all three diving events at Missouri, setting two of them on Friday and Saturday.

Dante Jones finished in 16th place in the platform, ending the meet with 323.30 points in the finals.
