WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Missouri men's golf team won its second-straight tournament, taking the championship honors of the C&F Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va. The Tigers shot a 287 on Tuesday and finished with a two-round score of 575, seven shots ahead of second-place William & Mary.
Redshirt freshman Jace Long claimed the individual medalist honors with a 36-hole score 139 (69-70). Freshman Stuart Ballingall tied for eighth place with a 144 score (71-73) and freshman Michael Garden had a 146 score to finish in a tie for 12th place.
Sophomore Chris Johnson tied for 24th spot with a 148 total and junior William Harrold placed in a tie for 35th with a 150 score.
Mizzou won the George Washington Invitational over last weekend. The win in Williamsburg is the third tournament title of the 2009-10 season.
The medalist honor was the first of Long's career. He now has five top-five finishes.
Next up for the Tigers is the UALR/First Tee Classic in Little Rock, Ark.
