Mizzou Leads After First Round of C&F Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.-- Fresh off of its tournament title at the George Washington Invitational, the Missouri men's golf team leads after the first round of play at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va. The Tigers shot an opening round 288 and hold a four-shot lead over Maryland, William & Mary and Rutgers.

Redshirt freshman Jace Long is tied for the individual lead after he recorded an opening round 69. Delaware's Justin Martinson and James Madison's Ryan Vince are tied with Long after turning in 69s on Monday.

Freshman Stuart Ballingall is in a tie for sixth place with an opening round 71 and senior William Harrold in tied for 21st after a 73 on Monday. Sophomore Chris Johnson and freshman Michael Garden are among a group tied for 46th place with scores of 75 in round one.

The 36-hole tournament will conclude on Tuesday.
