WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - On the final day of competition for the 2009-10 season, the Missouri women's swimming and diving team finished the year scoring more points and had a new personal record for Lauren Lavigna added.
Missouri finishes the 2010 national championships with five points after three days of competition in a tie for 42nd place.
"I thought we had a pretty solid week overall, and I'm very proud of the way the team prepared for this meet," Interim Head Coach Chris Peters said. "We have a lot to look forward to as a program, and I can only see this team getting better."
Gailey earned honorable mention All-American honors after finishing thirteenth on the platform competition. Gailey finished the day scoring 272.65 points in the preliminaries and 251.15 points in the finals. The school-record holder in the event joins Jordan Morcom as the two Tigers that scored points at this year's meet, while Dominique Bouchard finished in 1:56.53.
After setting a school record yesterday, Lavigna turned around and set a new personal record, this time in the 200 back competition. Lavigna finished the race in 1 minute, 56.41 seconds.
Senior Kim Jasmer wrapped up her storied collegiate career in the 100 free, finishing in 49.61 seconds.
