CHANDLER, Ariz. - Opening the spring season at the Snowman Getaway in Chandler, Ariz., the Missouri men's golf team shot rounds of 280 and 305 on Monday. The two-round total of 585 places the Tigers in third place heading into Tuesday's final round.
Freshman Jace Long is one of three co-leaders individually after two rounds of play. Long shot a 67 in the first round, followed by a 74 in round two. He is one of just five players under par. Long is joined in the top-10 of the standings by freshman Stuart Ballingall, who followed an opening round 74 with a 71 in the afternoon 18 holes.
Junior William Harrold and freshman Brad Moody are among a group tied for 19th place with 36-hole scores of 150. Freshman Michael Garden has a 155 score and is tied fro 39th spot.
The Tigers stood in first place after round one and currently are one shot behind second place Washington State and three behind the leader Idaho.
The final round will begin on Tuesday morning.
