
Mizzou Picks Up Another Top-Five

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Missouri picked up its second top five finish of the season by taking fourth at the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup, hosted by Louisville. The Tigers shot a 301 in the final round to finish with a three-round score of 900. They were one shot behind third-place Maryland and two back of second-place Kentucky.
Louisville ran away with the tournament title, finishing with an 866 total and a 32-stroke win.
Mizzou senior Julia Potter finished in a tie for third place to lead the Tigers in the individual standings. Potter carded a final round score of two-under-par 70 to give her a 54-hole score of 217. She finished tied with Laura Anderson of Louisville, one shot behind second-place-finisher Stacey Miller of Illinois State.
The finish is the best for Potter since a third-place showing at the Price's Give `em Five last October. She claimed a fourth-place finish in last week's Chip-N-Club Invitational.
Senior Michelle Morgan tied for 18th place with a three-round total of 226, one shot ahead of sophomore Hannah Lovelock, who finished in 24th spot.
Junior Nicola Race tied for 32nd place with a 232 score, while freshman Ahnna Kim had a 54-hole score of 241, placing her in a tie for 59th. Junior Lindsey Haupt competed as an individual in the Cardinal Cup and joined Kim in the group tied for 59th place with a 241 score.
Next for the Tigers is the third annual Johnie Imes Invitational, hosted by Mizzou at The Club at Old Hawthorne on Oct. 5-6.
