
Tigers Stand Fifth at Cardinal Cup

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Coming off a win at its season-opening tournament, the Mizzou women's golf team stands in fifth place after two rounds of play at the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup in Louisville, Ky. The Tigers shot an opening round 295 before carding a 304 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 599.
The host-school Louisville, leads after two rounds with a 575 total, followed by Kentucky and Maryland with 593 scores and Illinois State with a 595 score.
Senior Michelle Morgan recorded the best score for Missouri on day one, turning in rounds of 71 and 75 for a 146 total, placing her in a tie for sixth place. Joining Morgan in the top eight is fellow senior Julia Potter, who is tied for eighth place with a 147 total (75-72).
Sophomore Hannah Lovelock is in a tie for 29th place with a 153 score (74-79), two shots ahead of junior Nicola Race, whose 155 total puts her tied for 33rd spot. Freshman Ahnna Kim is in a tie for 52nd place with a 159 score.
Junior Lindsey Haupt is competing as an individual in the tournament and stands in 68th place with a 163 total for 36 holes.
The final round will get underway on Tuesday morning.
