On Monday, members of the Mizzou Department of Athletics made a trip to Southeast Missouri as part of the Statewide Outreach program. On the trip, Athletics Director Mike Alden, Special Assistants to the Athletic Director John Kadlec and Gary Link and Director of Development T.J. Leon visited Poplar Bluff, Sikeston and Charleston.

The group started by visting Poplar Bluff High School and KFEB "The Pulse" radio station, then made a stop at the Butler County Extension Office. Next they attended a Rotary in Sikeston before heading to Charleston for a visit with Mrs. Betty Hearne's followed by a gathering at Focus Bank.
