COLUMBIA, Mo. - - Play was suspended in round two of the Johnie Imes Invitational on Monday at The Club at Old Hawthorne. Most of the field will have to finish their second round starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. The final round will follow.
Missouri was in ninth place following round one after shooting a 316. Tulsa was the first round leader, carding a round of 310, followed by Illinois State (305) and Wisconsin (309).
Kristina Merkle of Tulsa led the individual standings with an opening round of three-under-par 69. Kelly Amundrud of Bradley was in second with a 71 in round one.
Mizzou sophomore Hannah Lovelock, senior Julia Potter, senior Michelle Morgan and freshman Ahnna Kim all shot a 79 in the first round and were among a group tied for 34th place. Junior Nicole Race tied for 58th place.
Competing indivudially, junior Lindsey Haupt and sophomore Marissa Cook were tied for 58th place after round one with an 82 in the first round. Junior Kelsey Meyer and sophomore Jacque Bardgett carded an 86. Junior Madison Marcolla and freshman Becca Godman each carded an 88.
