
Tigers in a Tie for 12th in Vegas

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Missouri women's golf team opened play in the Las Vegas Collegiate by carding a round of 296 on Monday at Boulder Creek Golf Club outside of Las Vegas, which puts it in a tie with the host school, UNLV.
MU sophomore Hannah Lovelock led the Tigers on day one of the tournament, as she turned in a round of three-under-par 69. Starting on the back nine, Lovelock made four birdies to shot 32 on her first nine holes. She stood five-under-par after she made birdie on the second hole, her 11th hole of the day.
Lovelock is among a group of three tied for fourth place in the individual standings, two shots behind the co-leaders Alice Kim of UC Davis and Kelli Shean of Arkansas.
Senior Michelle Morgan shot 74 and is tied for 44th spot, while junior Nicola Race is in a tie for 52nd place after a first round 75. Senior Julia Potter carded a 78 and freshman Hannah Kim shot 81.
Louisville leads after a round of 283 on Monday.
The second round will be played on Tuesday with the final round scheduled for Wednesday.
