Mizzou in Second Place at Johnie Imes Invite

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri women's golf team is tied for second place at the Johnie Imes Invitational at The Club at Old Hawthorne. Play was suspended Monday evening due to darkness with several golfers still on the course in round two.
Mizzou and Ole Miss are tied for second, trailing only Arkansas-Little Rock. Of those three, only the Ole Miss has golfers that need to finish their second round. Arkansas-Little Rock has a two-round total of 593 and the Tigers are in the clubhouse with a 598 score. MU is tied with Ole Miss with a 22-over-par score.
Julia Potter leads the individual standings with a 36-hole score of 137 (67-70). Senior Chelsea Schriewer is tied for 28th place with a 154 score, while junior Michelle Morgan is in 31st spot with a 155 total. Sophomore Lindsey Haupt has a 158 score and freshman Jacque Bardgett has a 163 total of two rounds.
Missouri was tied for the lead after round one, carding score of 300 in the opening 18 holes to tie with Ole Miss atop the leaderboard.
Mizzou's B team, consisting of freshman Hannah Lovelock, sophomore Kelsey Meyer, sophomore Madison Marcolla, sophomore Lindsay Burry and freshman Marissa Cook is in 11th place in the 18-team field.
Lovelock shot a career-best 67 in the first round and is in second place with a 140 total (68-72).
The final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Old Hawthorne.
