Olathe, Kan. - University of Missouri incoming freshman Marcus Denmon capped an exciting week with a 20-point effort in an 87-84 Team Missouri win in the annual Hy-Vee/Pepsi All-Star Challenge Saturday evening in Olathe, Kan.
The Hy-Vee/Pepsi All-Star Challenge pitted a team of Missouri all-stars vs. Kansas all-stars.
Denmon led the Missouri squad to the three-point victory thanks to 14 second-half tallies. The former Hogan Prep standout hit three three-pointers in the second half and claimed the event's slam dunk contest at halftime. The Missouri squad trailed 37-34 at the half before surging to the win.
