Mizzou Finishes Sixth, Potter Takes Second

PARRISH, Fla. - - Mizzou sophomore Julia Potter recorded her fourth top-five finish of the 2007-08 season, claiming second at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. Potter's 74 in Tuesday's final round gave her a final three-round total of 219, which is the third-lowest 54-hole score of her career.
Mizzou claimed sixth place in the team standings with a three-round score of 917. The Tigers, currently ranked No. 45, finished ahead of 39th ranked Nebraska, who shot a 927 in the tournament, No. 19 Notre Dame (929), and No. 30 Oklahoma (935).
Junior Chelsea Schriewer matched Potter with a final round 74 on Tuesday and finished in a tie for 26th place with a 231 total. Sophomore Michelle Morgan tied for 39th spot with a 54-hole score of 235, followed by sophomore Madison Marcolla's 238, which put her in a group tied for 48th place. Senior Madde Augustsson had a three-round score of 239 and finished tied for 50th spot.
Missouri will return to action on March 7-9 for the Texas A&M "Mo'Morial in College Station, Texas.
