
Tigers Take Fifth at Price's Give `em Five

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Missouri turned in its best 18-hole team score of the fall with a 296 in Wednesday's final round of the Price's Give `em Five in Las Cruces, N.M. The Tigers finished in fifth place with a three-round score of 908.
MU started the week with an opening round 309, which found it in 10th place, but rebounded with rounds of 303 and 296 to climb all the way to fifth. UC-Irvine won the tournament with a three-round score of 881.
Junior Julia Potter claimed her third top-three finish in Mizzou's four tournaments this fall as she placed in third at the Price's Give `em Five. She shot 75 on Wednesday and finished with a three-day total of 217. Potter finished one shot out of second place and five shots behind tournament medalist, Jane Chin of UC-Irvine.
The best round of the day for the Tigers came from freshman Hannah Lovelock, who carded a 71 to finish with a three-round total of 227. She tied for 15th place, her best career finish.
Senior Chelsea Schriewer shot a 74 in the final round and finished in a tie for 29th place with a 54-hole score of 229. Junior Michelle Morgan tied for 46th place with a three-day score of 235 and sophomore Madison Marcolla finished in a tie for 84th spot with a 248 total.
Missouri will conclude its fall schedule with the Las Vegas Collegiate Oct. 27-29.
