Mizzou Basketball Hosts Blackout on Feb. 9 vs. No. 18 Texas A&M

Feb. 6, 2008

Columbia, Mo. - Mizzou Basketball is asking fans to make Saturday's game vs. No. 18 Texas A&M a "Blackout". Fans are encouraged to wear black in support of their Tigers, as they look for their third win against a nationally-ranked opponent inside Mizzou Arena this season.

The Tigers already boast Top 25 wins vs. No. 12 Texas and No. 22 Kansas State this season. In addition, the Tigers defeated Purdue on Dec. 8 and the Boilermakers are currently ranked No. 24 nationally.

In addition, the Mizzou Department of Athletics announced that less than 500 tickets remain for Saturday's game and are asking fans to make a late push so Saturday's "Blackout" is a sellout as well.

Mizzou is 13-10 on the season and are led by the dynamic sophomore duo of Keon Lawrence and J.T. Tiller. Lawrence scored a career high 25 points at Kansas on Monday, while Tiller is the reigning Big 12 Conference Player of the Week after averaging 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in games against Nebraska and No. 22 Kansas State. Against the Wildcats Tiller scored a career high 20 points, including the Tigers' final five tallies of the game to seal the win.
