COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri men's swimming and diving team headed to Phoenix, Ariz., this week for its annual training trip. The team not only plans to spend a good deal of quality time in the pool, but also looks to get out and enjoy all that Arizona's capital city has to offer. Providing a glimpse of the Tigers' time spent in the Grand Canyon State is senior Brandon Lee in a daily journal.
Of his Wednesday, Lee writes, "Today we started off with a great plane ride from freezing temps to the nice sunny 70 degree weather in Phoenix. We crammed in the vans, made it to the hotel pretty early and took advantage of the sun for about 2 hours before we headed off to practice. It was really nice to meet up with the team. It has only been about 10 days since we last saw one another, but it seemed like a month. The team is so close that we go a few days without seeing each other and it really gets to you. Well, it does me anyway. Practice was pretty simple and involved aerobics, just getting back into the swing of things. Then we went to the store, got some groceries and ate dinner. Now everyone is just winding down getting ready for tomorrow."
