Columbia, Mo. -Recent Big 12 Athlete of the Year and ESPY nominee Ben Askren (Hartland, Wis.) will interview live today on ESPNews beginning at 2:20 (CT) on The Hot List. Fans should check their local listings for channel information.
Nominated for an ESPY in the category of Best Male College Athlete, the award show will air live on ESPN, Sunday, July 15, at 8 p.m. (CT). Askren stands in a category alongside Texas guard Kevin Durant, Ohio State center Greg Oden and Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith. Fans were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite Best Male College Athlete online over the past week.
Askren is Missouri's first two-time wrestling National Champion and set several Tiger records including most career falls (91), most career wins (153) and most consecutive wins (87).
