2008 Mizzou Baseball Schedule in PDF format
Mizzou Baseball has finalized its 2008 schedule, as announced Tuesday by Head Coach Tim Jamieson. The Tigers will open the 2008 campaign on Feb. 22 at the Stetson University Tournament in DeLand, Fla. Missouri will play eight games on the road to start the season, before hosting Western Illinois in the home opener on March 4 at Taylor Stadium.
Big 12 Conference play will start up on March 21-23, as Baylor visits Columbia for a three-game series. The Tigers will also host conference series against Oklahoma State (April 4-6), Texas (April 11-13), Kansas State (May 2-4) and Nebraska (May 16-18). They will be on the road for three-game sets with Texas Tech (March 28-30), Oklahoma (April 18-20), Texas A&M (April 25-27) and Kansas (May 9-11).
In addition to the conference series against Kansas in May, the Tigers and Jayhawks will play a non-conference game on April 29 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. This is the second-straight year that an MU-KU matchup has been planned for Kauffman Stadium, however last year's game was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Tigers will return to T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O'Fallon, Mo. for games against Eastern Illinois (April 22) and Southern Illinois (April 23).
The Big 12 Conference Tournament will again take place at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City on May 21-25. The NCAA Tournament will begin on May 30, with the College World Series taking place June 14-25 in Omaha.
