Daniel has led the Tigers to an 8-1 record for the first time since 1969, and ranks in the NCAA's top-10 of seven different major statistical categories, including:  completions per game (4th - 28.22), total offense (5th - 354.11 ypg), passing yards per game (5th - 328.22), passing yards (6th - 2,954), completion percentage (6th - 68.7%), points responsible for (9th - 17.78 ppg), and touchdown passes (23), in addition to ranking 15th nationally in passing efficiency (151.36 rating).

Pinkel has been cited as his Tigers are in the hunt for the school's first conference championship in football since 1969.  Mizzou currently sits sixth in the latest BCS poll - the school's highest-ever ranking in that system.  He has led his squad to consecutive eight-win regular seasons, something that has only been accomplished at MU one other time (1941-1942).
