
Tigers Hold Commanding Lead in Imes Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Mizzou women's golf team holds a 22-shot lead after two rounds of play in the 1st Annual Johnie Imes Invitational at the Club of Old Hawthorne in Columbia. Four MU golfers are in the top 10 individually.
Sophomore Michelle Morgan recorded rounds of 73 and 74 on Monday and is in second place in the individual standings. She is one shot ahead of sophomore Julia Potter, whose rounds of 73 and 75 put her in third place.
Junior Chelsea Schriewer carded a pair of 75's on the first day and is in a three-way tie for fourth place. Senior Madde Augustsson is seventh place with a 151 total (77-74).
Sophomore Madison Marcolla is tied for 24th spot with a 162 total. Sophomores Lindsey Haupt and Lindsay Burry and freshman Kelsey Meyer are competing as individuals only in the event. Haupt is in 18th place with a 160 two-round total, while Burry (174) is 51st and Meyer (183) is 56th.
Missouri's 617 total after the first day of the Imes Invitational is 22 shots ahead of Princeton.
The final round will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Live scoring is available through GolfStat on mutigers.com.
