75th-ranked Tigers fall to No. 50 Oklahoma State, 7-0

Stillwater, Okla. - The 75th-ranked University of Missouri women's tennis team lost to No. 50 Oklahoma State, 7-0, Saturday afternoon in windy Stillwater. The Tigers fall to 5-7 overall and 1-5 in the Big 12. OSU is 9-2, and 3-2 in the Big 12.

After the match, Tiger Head Coach Blake Starkey realized the challenge Mizzou faced Saturday.

"OSU is a very good team, and it was our fourth match in seven days, and it was very, very windy out there."

During the match, winds blew out of the south at 20-25 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.

Mizzou lost all six singles matches Saturday. Pratzel fell at No. 1 to OSU's Tkachenko, 6-0, 6-3. Josbena lost at No. 2 to Yawna Allen, 7-5, 6-1. Chrissy Svetlic finished the weekend at 1-1 after losing at No. 3 to Shatkovskaya, 6-2, 6-3.

Dunham, McKenzie and Wagner lost their matches at No.'s 4, 5 and 6.

Mizzou also lost all three doubles matches Saturday.

The Tigers head back to Columbia to prepare for yet another road trip next weekend. Mizzou will fly to Syracuse, N.Y. to face Syracuse and Army, March 24 and 25.
