Tiger Men Add Two Standouts For Fall 2007 Roster

University of Missouri Head Swimming and Diving Coach Brian Hoffer has announced that two student-athletes have signed national letter's of intent to compete at Mizzou beginning next fall.

The duo is comprised of Max Jaben (Overland Park, Kan./University of Florida) and Spenser Lauver (Omaha, Neb.).

Following are brief biographical sketches of the recruiting class...

Max Jaben (Overland Park, Kan./University of Florida)
A transfer from Florida where he was an NCAA Qualifier and SEC Finalist in the middle-distance freestyle ... his top times include 1:39.06 in the 200 free, 4:22.34 in the 500 free, 9:21 in the 1,000 free and 15:09.93 in the mile ... swims for the Kansas City Blazers and coach Pete Malone.
Brian Hoffer on Jaben: "Max is a tremendous athlete that will be key to our success next season. His intensity and commitment to the sport is welcome. We have watched Max swim for years and we're happy that he's now a Tiger."

Spenser Lauver (Omaha, Neb.)
Has posted top times of 51.7 in the 50 fly, 1:43 in the 200 free and 16:29 in the mile (LC meters) ... competes for Swim Omaha and coach Docker HArtfield.
Brian Hoffer on Lauver: "We learned a lot about Spenser's racing ability first hand this summer when he came from behind to win the mile. He's a great competitor who really meshed with the guys on our team during his visit. Spenser possesses the combination of academic and athletic ability that we are building our team with."
