LINCOLN, Neb. - The Missouri track and field squad joined with Nebraska and Kansas State to form Team Big 12 on Saturday, facing Team Mountain West made of Air Force and Colorado State at the Conference Challenge in Lincoln, Neb. In combined men-women scoring, Team Big 12 defeated Team Mountain West 223-114. The Tigers helped Team Big 12 with four event victories and several second- and third-place finishes.
The day was full of good performances by the Tigers.
Junior transfer Hedvig Glomsroed once again broke Mizzou's women's triple jump record with a third-place jump of 40-3½ (12.28m). Glomsroed initially broke the school record last weekend in her first meet as a Tiger.
The Tigers took first and second in the men's shot put. Junior Tyler Dailey (Joplin, Mo.) won with a 56-6 (17.22m) mark, coming just two inches from his personal best. Sophomore Chris Rohr was second at 54-8¾ (16.68m).
Junior Jason Morris was second in the men's weight throw with a 63-6¼ (19.36m) best. Bobby Musil was third at 62-10½ (19.16m).
Sophomore Krishna Lee (Kansas City, Mo.) continues a nice progression in the women's weight throw. Today, Lee improved her personal best in the event by eight inches to finish third at 60-6¾ (18.46m). Lee also moved to third all-time at Missouri with the throw. School-record holder Elisha Hunt (Boonville, Mo.) was second to Kansas State's Laci Heller with a toss of 60-7¾ (18.48m).
The Tigers also took 2-3 in the women's shot put with junior Elizabeth Robe taking second with an indoor personal-best mark of 48-10¾ (14.90m). Junior transfer Shernelle Nicholls was third at 48-4¾ (14.75m).

Senior Jimmie Jones (Detroit, Mich.) won the men's 600-yard race, leading throughout as well, but was pushed by Kansas State runners. Jones clocked 1:10.58, just off his 1:10.35 personal best. Later in the meet, Jones clocked an impressive 47.6 split to lead off the Tiger 4x400-meter relay that placed third.
Sophomore Angela Potrykus (Evergreen, Colo.) recorded her first career victory, taking first in the women's 1000-meter with a 2:53.04 clocking, shaving five seconds off her old personal best.
Freshman Jerron Forte (Kansas City, Mo.) won his section of the men's 400, placing fifth overall with a 48.83 clocking.
The Tigers will next travel to Purdue's Gene Edmonds Cup next weekend for a four-team scored meet with Purdue, Indiana State and Illinois State. Highlights from the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational that followed today's Conference Challenge will be in next week's news and notes.
