Mizzou in 13th After Round One of Mason Rudolph Championships

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Playing in her first collegiate tournament, Mizzou freshman Julia Potter turned in the best round of the day for the Tigers in the opening round of the Mason Rudolph Championships. Potter shot an even par 72 at the Ironhorse Course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn. on Friday and is tied for 14th in the overall standings.
Mizzou is in 13th place after the first of three rounds of play.
Potter closed her round with a 2-under par back nine and made three birdies on the round.
Junior Madde Augustsson is tied for 43rd place with an opening round 76. A pair of sophomores followed as Chelsea Schriewer shot a 77 and Ellen Hoeper turned in a 79. They are tied for 55th and 67th place, respectively. Schriewer finished her round with birdies on the final two holes.
Senior Stephanie Wavro was one-under par after three holes, but struggled to an 81 on Friday.
Mizzou is in 13th place with a first round total of 304. Georgia leads the tournament after a 280 on the opening day of play.
The second round will be played on Saturday with the final round scheduled for Sunday.
