Mizzou Finishes 15th at NCAA Central Regional

BRYAN, Texas. - - The Missouri Women's Golf team concluded play in the 2006 NCAA Central Regional on Saturday at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas with its best round of the weekend, carding a final round 301, finishing tied for 15th place with a three-day total of 941.
Junior Stephanie Wavro carded the best round of any Tiger over the weekend, with an even-par 72 on Saturday. She made six birdies on they day and carded a one-under par 35 on the back nine, which was her first nine holes after starting her round on number ten. Wavro was Missouri's top finisher, tying for 26th place in the regional.
Freshman Ellen Hoeper also started with a one-under par 35 on the back nine on her way to a 74, finishing tied for 31st place with a 54-hole total of 230.
Senior Kelli Strubinger tied for 77th place with a final total of 242 and sophomore Madde Augustsson and freshman Chelsea Schriewer finished in a tie fore 79th place with a three-day total of 243.
Southern California won the regional with a three-round total of 883, two shots ahead of second-place Duke. The top eight teams advanced to the NCAA Championships.
