Mizzou 18th After Two Rounds of NCAA Central Regional

BRYAN, Texas - - The Mizzou Women's Golf Team matched Thursday's first round with a 320 in the second round of the NCAA Central Regional at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas. The Tigers are in 18th place heading into Saturday's final round.
Junior Stephanie Wavro turned in the best second round for Missouri, carding a three-over par 75 on Friday. She stands in a tie for 45th place after two rounds of play.
Leading MU in the individual standings is freshman Ellen Hoeper, as she is tied for 42nd spot with a two-day score of 156, one shot ahead of Wavro. After a first round of 73, Hoeper turned in an 83 on Friday.
Sophomore Madde Augustsson also shot an 83 in round two and is tied for 78th place with a 36-hole score of 164. Freshman Chelsea Schriewer and senior Kelli Strubinger each recorded rounds of 81 on Friday and are in a tie for 82nd with two-round score of 165.
Duke leads the regional with a team score of 594 (294-300) after 36 holes. The top eight teams in the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships, along with the top two individuals from the non-advancing teams
The final round of the Central Regional will take place on Saturday.
