
Hoeper Stands Seventh After Opening Round of NCAA Regional

BRYAN, Texas. - - Missouri shot a round of 320 on the opening day of the 2006 NCAA Central Regional, played at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, and was led by freshman Ellen Hoeper's one-over par 73. Hoeper stands seventh individually after the first round of play.
The Tigers' score of 320 places them in 17th place, one shot out of a tie for15th place and just two shots out of 13th place. USC leads the Regional after an opening round 293.
Hoeper made four birdies in her round and carded an even-par 36 on the front nine, which was her second nine of they day after starting on the 10th hole.
Sophomore Madde Augustsson shot an 81 on Thursday and junior Stephanie Wavro turned in an 82. Freshman Chelsea Schriewer and senior Kelli Strubinger each carded opening rounds of 84.
Round two of the Central Regional will take place on Friday at the Traditions Club, with the final round to be played on Saturday.
