
Missouri Women Move Up to Ninth at PING/ASU Invitational

PHOENIX, Ariz. - - Mizzou jumped seven spots into ninth place on day two of the PING/ASU Invitational in Phoenix. The Tigers improved 20 shots in round two from the opening round, recording a 294 on Saturday. The final round will get underway on Sunday morning.
Junior Stephanie Wavro tied her career best with a 69 on Saturday, making six birdies in her round and is tied for ninth after two rounds. The round matches a 69 which she shot last weekend in the final round of the Mountain View Classic.
Senior Kelli Strubinger shot 74 on Saturday and has a two-day total of 151. She in a tie for 32nd place after two rounds of play. Sophomore Madde Augustsson and freshman Chelsea Schriewer are in a tie for 64th place with 36-hole totals of 158. Freshman Ellen Hoeper is tied for 73rd place with a 160 two-day score.
Mizzou's two-round total of 608 one shot behind Tulsa for seventh and two shots out of fifth-place Stanford. UCLA leads the tournament with a one-over 577 score after two rounds.
