Mizzou Tied for Second at Central District Invitational

PARRISH, Fla. - The Mizzou Women's Golf Team is in a three-way tie for second place after the first two rounds of the Central District Invitational at the River Wilderness Golf Club in Parrish, Fla. The Tigers turned in rounds of 306 and 303 on the opening day of the tournament and are tied with Ohio State and Southern Methodist for second behind tournament leader, Baylor.
Senior Denise Munzlinger and junior Stephanie Wavro are among six golfers tied for ninth individually. Munzlinger shot a 76 in the opening round and followed that with a 74 in the afternoon round, while Wavro opened with an even-par 72 and followed that with a 78 in round two.
Senior Kelli Strubinger is tied for 20th place with a two-round total of 153 (79-74), while freshman Chelsea Schriewer is tied for 25th place with a 36-hole score of 156 and sophomore Madde Augustsson's two-round score of 159 puts her in a tie for 52nd place.
Freshman Ellen Hoeper is competing in the tournament individually, and is tied for 18th place after rounds of 74 and 78 on Monday.
Alice Kim of Northwestern is the overall leader individually with an even par total of 144 (70-74).
The tournament will conclude with the third and final round on Tuesday.
