Terre Haute, Ind. - Missouri senior Tim Ross (Alto, Mich.) finished 126th on a muddy course at the 2006 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. Ross finished the 10k race in 32:50.8.
He finished over 100 places better than the last NCAA Championship race he ran in 2004. He finished 233rd in 2004.
Mizzou Head Coach Jared Wilmes was happy with Ross' final race as a Tiger.
"He had a good last mile and a half, he turned it on and passed a lot of people. He really competed hard and I'm pleased with the effort."
Ross finishes his Mizzou cross country career with three All-Big 12 honors, three All-Midwest Region honors and two NCAA Championship appearances.
This was the third straight year that the Tigers had a runner at the Championships. Last year, Matt Noonan (Baldwin City, Kan.) finished 90th at the Championship Meet.
